Venue provider:

Owns a yoga studio, typical hours of operation are 8 AM to 7 PM, Monday to Saturday. The owner would like to list the studio on Renaissance Revolution’s booking site by listing it for Sundays from 8 AM to 5 PM for $500, when the space is typically closed for business.

Artisan:

Certified hip hop dance instructor, currently unemployed and needing to generate some income. Finding it difficult to be hired full time at the moment now has the opportunity to temporarily lease a space through Renaissance Revolution’s booking app. The artisan books the studio and can offer 3 different classes in the 8 AM to 5 PM timeslot.

Class 1 Beginner Hip Hop:

Class time scheduled for 8-11AM

A full class will hold 10 members @$50= $500

3% renaissance revolution fee -$15

Total $485

Class 2 Advanced Hip Hop:

Class time scheduled for 12-3PM

A full class will hold 10 members @$50= $500

3% renaissance revolution fee -$15

Total $485

Class 3 Creative Hip Hop

Class time scheduled for 3:30 to 5PM

A full class will hold 10 members @$30= $300

3% renaissance revolution fee -$9

Total $291

Income total from classes= $1261

Subtract venue fee  ~$500

Artisan profit = $761

Here the venue provider earns an extra $485 after the 3% Renaissance Revolution fee is subtracted that week by opening up their space to someone who can utilize it. The venue provider may have other additional costs that will be subtracted from their profit like cleaning fees, additional insurance, or additional security features, amongst other things that may pertain to their space.

The artisan has the potential to earn $761 in this scenario if all classes are filled during the time the venue is booked. The Artisan may also have additional costs or fees to take into consideration to be subtracted from their profit as well, like insurance, equipment needed, amongst other things that might be needed for their class.
